Whether you are a battling cancer, supporting someone who is, or recovering and cancer-free, The Cancer Center at Kishwaukee Community Hospital and the hospital’s Community Wellness department offer classes and support networks that can help you and your loved ones cope and connect. You don’t have to be alone in your journey. We are here to help.
Need a place to go to ask questions and hear from others about their cancer experiences? It is good to talk to others, learn, and share. Various networking groups, classes, and programs are offered here.
The Cancer Center is dedicated to helping children cope with their fears, anger and anxieties by presenting the CLIMB program (Children’s Lives Include Moments of Bravery). This 6-week sensitive, interactive program was developed by The Children’s Treehouse Foundation.
An oncology social worker with specialized training through the Children’s Treehouse Foundation provides support to children who have a parent, grandparent, or loved one diagnosed with cancer.
Check our current classes and support groups listing for information about the next session of CLIMB.
